Naracoorte Branch

Branch History

The first meeting of the Naracoorte Branch of the CDASA was held in the Guide Hall in Naracoorte on 27th July 1988 with the first Office Bearers elected:

    Gill Hogg: President
    Joan Dilena: Vice President
    Sandra Tierney: Secretary / Treasurer

Monthly meetings were held and over the years many informative and fun days were held with a variety of guest demonstrators sharing their skills with us.
In October 1993 with membership low a general meeting of South East Cake Decorators was held and it was decided that a group of ladies from the Bordertown area would join with the Naracoorte members and the Branch would continue. Meetings were arranged to be bi-monthly on a Saturday in alternate townships and that is still our situation today but like all rural areas we are struggling with numbers only just remaining viable with 10 financial members at present.

Over the years we have been privileged to have had some wonderful demonstrators visit us, some of our members have had the opportunity to attend several State and National Seminars and even though we are small in number our meetings are very friendly and relaxing and give us all the opportunity to steal some quality time just for us.
